U.S.MARATHON WORLDCHAMPS TEAM
One American, Shari Housebeck (Colorado Springs, Co) is scheduled to begin the 2007
Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships at Verviers, Belgium, August 12.

WORLD RANKINGS
Current U.S. women have 2567 points, compared to China, Germany, Canada, and Russia. Georgia Gould (Luna Chix), is the highest-ranked American. Mary McConneloug, (Kenda Seven) is seventh, and Willow Koerber, (Subaru–Gary Fisher) ninth. The U.S. maintained its sixth position in the men’s rankings with 1380 points, just behind France, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. Individually, Adam Craig (Giant), is the top U.S. rider at 19th. Todd Wells (GT), 21st, and Jeremy Horgan Kobelski (Subaru–Gary Fisher), 23rd.

U.S. NATIONAL TASK
France Cycling National Development Team competed in the Sugar Mountain Norba
National. The squad was led by Colin Cares (Boulder CO), who finished 17th. 2 of the team came in 20th and 2 were professionals. Next up, the trio will compete in Aspen’s Snowmass Norba National.

GALENA GRINDER
Galena Grinder from Ketchum, Idaho made a date in the U.S. Mountain Bike Cross-Country Calendar. Sam Young (Ketchum (ID) won the pro men’s race with a time (Heber (UT) third). Jana Repulski (Boise ID) won the women’s race.
Stacey Scanlan (Boise ID) will take the win

The Norba National is the next race on U.S. Mountain Bike Cross-Country Calendar.
Series will be able to join the Snowmass Norba as a sideshow at the Snowmass Village Snowmass Village event on August 11, in Snowmass Village CO.

The U.S. MOUNTAIN BIKE ULTRA ENDURANCE CALENDAR SERIES ARE FINISHED!
Galena Grinder hosted the sixth and last stop of the U.S. Mountain Bike National.
Ultra-Endurance Calendar. Stuart Houltham, New Zealand’s pro-mens racer, rode to victory.
Lynn Stott won the women’s title, beating Mary Ann Ozier (Madame) and India Wysong. Nat Ross and Rebecca Rusch were named overall women’s champions, respectively.

The Snowmass Norba National is next on the U.S. Mountain Bike Gravity Calendar, August 11-12. It will feature downhill, dual slalom, and 4-cross competitions. It’s great that Team Big Bear & Blue Wolf allow the Mountain Bike Calendar sideshow, to participate in the long-standing U.S. National series, which is promoted by Norba.
